Kernel clean up on 8.04 upgrade

When upgrading the system it starts to break on the linux-ubuntu-modules.
Another side effect was that on reboot I lost my Wireless network and that is the only way I connect to the network.

At start I didn't get why this happens but after going to the CLI and running apt-get upgrade the message turn to be much more clear.

There was lack of space in the /boot partition so there was no more room to install the upgrade.
I use a partition with more or less 100MB for the /boot directory.

When looking to the /boot dir I notice that I have there 6 kernel packs.
In previous Ubuntu versions I only have two consecutive kernel packs installed.

Problem was solved removing the older kernel packs and editing the GRUB menu.lst file.

This is a bug hence most "users" will never go to the CLI or have the knowledge to solve the issue the way I did. And the desktop version is not for savvy users, right?

it would even help if one could remove old kernels with a gui, because the user/admin knows which ones she uses.
