Some more information: the system is a Pandaboard ES, and the KernelOops happened only once. Further re-boots went fine.

so it happened with 3.2.0-1411.14 while rebooting in 3.2.0-1412.15, right?

I was running 3.2.0-1411.14, did the apt-get upgrade, rebooted. Shutdown of 1411 went fine, but the boot of 1412 took somewhat longer than usual (maybe 30 secs longer). After the GUI login, the Oops notification popped up. So I assume the issue happened in 3.2.0-1412.15.

if you've never seen this happen again (and no one else has reported it), i think we can close it down.
