Broken perf with Ubuntu-3.2.0-1408.11 at Pandaboard

Bug Description

While trying to identify why X11 is consuming most of the cpu while running lightdm, I found that currently perf is broken as 'perf top' shows nothing at the screen.

Kernel:
linux-image-3.2.0-1408-omap4 3.2.0-1408.11
linux-ti-omap4-tools-3.2.0-1408 3.2.0-1408.11

Image: ARMHF Daily from Mar 15/2012 (Pandaboard 4430).

Current output:
