Bug Description
I have installed Ubuntu on this Compaq Presario 700 Notebook and found that the external PS/2 mouse is not functional, i.e. it does nothing when plugged in but the internal touchpad stays working fine).
(Unfortunately the USB ports are damaged on this notebook but I suspect these would have worked).
I have checked the mouse properties etc but I am not that familiar with Linux so I might have missed something.
I installed Ubuntu 7.1 i386 desktop from a CD image I downloaded. I check summed the file and the CD I burned from it - both were OK. The Ubuntu installation seemed to go OK (I am emailing from this notebook)
Otherwise Ubuntu works fine (except for a small anomaly with Rhythmbox that I am investigating)
(I have Ubuntu working fine on a PC and another Notebook that I can use for comparison / settings)
Thanks for any suggestions
Ian
