Bug Description
I'm using ubuntustudio 7.10 on a Dell XPS m1330 and my soundcard, HDA-Intel, is detected but will not produce any sound.
I have reloaded the alsa drivers, unmuted the sound sources in alsa, and deleted than reloaded the sound drivers on the install disc. There is still no sound at all and I have tried looking at as many different how-to guides I can find.

Thanks for the report. In order to help the developers track down your issue there is some additional information that you should attach.
Could you please attach the output of running "sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log" from the terminal?
Also a script to gather all the relevant sound information from you system can be found here: http:// bulletproof. servebeer. com/alsa/ scripts/ alsa-info. sh
Please download and run the script as follows:
1. ./alsa-info.sh --no-upload
2. /tmp/alsa-info.txt will be generated. Attach this file to your bug report
3. The alsa-info.sh script can either be run as 'bash alsa-info.sh' _or_ made executable and run as './alsa-info.sh'.
