Bug Description
This is using Gutsy.
Suspend always results in a failure to resume. Black screen, no hard drive activity, no response to caps lock key etc.
Hibernate seems to only work once after a reboot. All subsequent attempts to hibernate result in one of the following situations:
1. A screen lock dialog after a few seconds (ie no hibernate action, but no hard lock either!)
2. Appears to successfully hibernate, but subsequently a failure to resume with disk activity visible, but otherwise a black screen with blinking underscore cursor, no response to caps lock key etc.
3. A weird hard lock with either a black screen or blinking underscore cursor, no response to caps lock key, power light and disk light permanently on. Appears to stress the system, as the cooling fan spins up and doesn't spin down.
This behaviour is fairly consistent, but doesn't quite match any of the other bug reports I've seen.
Thanks!
