Bug Description

6 months back i tried on Lenovo N100 to go on with Ubuntu 7.04 (sound, wireless didn't work), but had to leave.
today i ran Ubuntu 7.10 live DVD, sound card worked but wireless is still not working. wireless nicely works with windows XP. when i click on network settings it gets hung. somebody please help me to fix this problem, i m desparately waiting for the time when my notebook (Lenovo N100) will have ubuntu as the only OS.

thanks a lot !!!!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Do you know what kind of wireless chipset your laptop has? It is possible that wireless card requires some firmware to work which wouldn't be on the Live CD but you could install. Thanks in advance.

i don't know how to check which chipset my laptop is having becoz command -
lspci doesn't work..

regards

Do you have the pciutils package installed? You can check via 'dpkg -l pciutils'.
