Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22
I have an Asus A8V-XE with a Via VT6102 [Rhine-II] (rev 7c) network card. The card worked fine at first, but now I'm seeing the following repeatedly in dmesg.
eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0x45E1
NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
eth0: Transmit timed out, status 0002, PHY status 786d, resetting...
The machine no longer has network access. Output of dmesg & lspci to be attached.

I've had the same experience using an Asus A8V-XE w/Via VT6102.

I have tried stopping and starting networking which failed to fetch an address from the dhcp server.
When I cold-boot, the network connection is re-established for a varying period of time.
I have now created a fixed address (not using dhcp). I'll post the results.
