Bug Description
I upgraded to ubuntu 7.10 beta and I noticed that the sound control in gnome is disabled. It appears as if the system didn't detect a sound device on my computer. I have an ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard, which has a sound device on the motherboard and it works when I switch to the Win XP partition.

Hi,
Sorry for the extremely delayed response. Just curious if this is still an issue? If so, care to try install the 'linux- backports- modules' package and see if it helps? Thanks.
