1) Can you attach the dpkg.log file for when you hit this bug?
2) Can you also try to reproduce this bug using synaptic?
3) Can you also try to reproduce this bug using apt-get?

I found the culprit. I have a boot partition (as my root is managed by LVM) and it had not enough space to receive the new kernel.
You can consider the bug fixed. Thanks!
