Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

Hardware: DELL XPS M1330
System: Gutsy Gibbon Tribe 4

Actually in repository is not present last nvidia driver 100.14.11.
This is a problem for who has Nvidia 8400 GS (and other new nvidia-boards).
I tried to install manually driver, but there are many problems:

1) metacity disappared (and so windows borders are not showed)
2) freeze after few seconds
3) auto-launch of compiz (I don't know why)

If you use "nv" or "vesa" in your xorg.conf you get very slow performances (glxgears returns less of 200 FPS) and for example, a DVD playing is jerky.

Pls, insert this nvidia-driver-version in official gutsy-repositories

Thanks,
Julio
