Bug Description

Downloaded ubuntu 7.10 Tribe 4 .iso, checked the checksum, burned it to a CD with Graveman.

Reboot my Packard Bell EasyNote 3244

Can't boot on the 7.10 Tribe 4 CD :

ISOLINUX 3.36 Debian-2007-08-07
Could not find kernel image: linux
boot:

Note that my laptop already runs 7.04 and that the 7.10 Tribe 3 CD was running fine too.

Can you show here the result of the checksum. Try with MD5SUM.

Checksum was right. I tried with 2 brand new CD-RWs and it failed to boot.
I finally tried with a 3rd CD-RW and then it worked and everything is OK.

So, sorry for that bug that was not one, this was due to some defectuous CD-RW.
