Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22
Hi!
Since one of the last (possibly the last) kernel updates (in Gutsy), my system gets unresponsive very easily. If I run a task that maxes out the CPU and also does some I/O, the mouse pointer jumps a lot or even freezes completely for several seconds. This was never the case before with the previous Gutsy kernels.
This is a moderately powerful machine (Athlon 64 3500+, 1 GB RAM), so this should not cause the problem.
Needless to say, this makes Gutsy practically unusable for me.
I'll attach the dmesg output. Let me know if you need anything else.

After further testing it turns out that I get the same problem with all kernels starting from 2.6.22-6.13. I could not test with earlier kernels, because I don't have them anymore...
So either it's an old problem (but I think I would have noticed earlier then). Or the problem is caused by something else besides the kernel. And ideas?
