bcm43xx driver still not working well on Lenovo 3000 N100

The firmware extracted from Windows drivers is version 4 and the driver says it doesn't support it (numerous messages in dmesg). The firmware downloaded from the unofficial site http://debian.cafuego.net/dists/feisty-cafuego/bcm43xx/ doesn't work particularly well, it deadlocks on ping -f to the nearest wireless gateway, with no chance to rmmod it.

The same laptop works great with ndiswrapper, so it's definitely a question of lack of support for relevant firmware and/or a bug in the driver.

I'm no longer a primary user of that machine, so it may take a couple of days before I'll be able to test it properly.

Sorry for sowing confusion - I've been moving to another country and settling in June/July and had no wireless network at home at all, and then I forgot about the whole thing. Hope to test it with final Feisty and perhaps recent Gutsy preview this week.
