Bug Description

I got this failure when i boot ubuntu! This warning came and some seconds later GDM starts!

PCI: Using ACPI for IRQ routing
PCI: If a device doesn't work, try "pci=routeirq". If it helps, post a report
PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 2 of device 0000:04:00.0
PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 3 of device 0000:04:00.0
pnp: 00:08: ioport range 0x400-0x4bf could not be reserved

My System:
Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2,88Ghz
GEIL DDR2-800 PC6400 CAS 4
nVidia GeForce 7900GTX

No PCI Card is used.
only PCI Express...

My OS is Ubuntu Feisty Fawn HERD 3 CD with all updates!

When i try to start my ubuntu with the newest kernel (2.6.20-8-generic) i got this error:

It seems that the kernel is not finding your '/' (root) partition. Do you happen to know what it is? If so you could manually edit the kernel boot line and change root to '/dev/sda99' or whatever is appropriate to get it to boot. After getting it to boot you will then want to use 'vol_id /dev/sda99' to determine the right UUID for your '/' (root) partition. Then modify your '/boot/grub/menu.lst' and '/etc/fstab' appropriately.

no problems with starting with 2.6.20-13!
