Bug Description
Tried to load Feisty Herd 2 64-bit Live CD on my new AMD64 laptop, (Turion MK-36) multiple times, and it keeps freezing at approx the end of the 3rd progress block - i.e. Kubuntu logo disappears, progress bar changes from blue to green, (though both also happen with Edgy's 64-bit live CD, and it ends up doing fine) then goes through to the end of bar 3 and freezes every time, (i.e. can't run Herd 2 at all). Double-checked both the .iso and the CD created, both are fine. Don't have Bluetooth in the laptop, so it's not that.
Did let it sit for ~50 mins one of the times to see if anything would finally happen, and somewhere between mins 5 and 50, (went to dinner, so not sure when) looks like it reverted back to showing some of the packages loading, showed the following and then finally froze for good:
udevd[3760]: lookup_group: specified group 'nvram' unknown
udevd-event[3811]: udev_db_add_device: unable to create db file '/dev/.
* Activating swap... [OK]
mount: Function not implemented
* Checking file systems...
fsck 1.40-WIP (02-Oct-2006) [OK]
If there's any more info I can provide, etc., don't hesitate to ask, as I said, it's at least wonderfully replicable! ;)

Tried with the 32-bit version, and though it also crashed, responded _much_ faster, (i.e. 30-40 secs to the first crash message, (the 'nvram' line above) and with Call Trace info before freezing. Unfortunately, it output more than a single screen of trace info, but what's left on-screen is:

and then froze again, (and remained frozen for 12 hrs, so _really_ frozen! :) ).
Hope that helps,
Dylan
