2006-09-22 21:29:28 Ben Collins linux-source-2.6.17: statusexplanation Please be sure to test latest kernel (2.6.17-9.23, or 2.6.17-8.22).
2006-09-25 21:42:31 Pascal d'Hermilly description Binary package hint: acpi When I try to resume from suspend in Edgy knot 3 (installed and updated) it shows some sort of "nothern lights" (I believe it is the AIGLX?) and doesnt resume the session. It fades to black screen and I have to shut it off manually. This are my specs (please note they are in danish, but I will translate if you cant read them): http://nordic.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/jsp/productPage.do?LNG=19&service=ND&PRODUCT_ID=117168&toshibaShop=false Binary package hint: acpi When I try to resume from suspend in Edgy knot 3 (installed and updated) it shows some sort of "nothern lights" (might just be my display) and doesnt resume the session. It fades to black screen and I have to shut it off manually. I get same behaviour in Dapper Drake. To make progress, some more information will be needed. Please attach (by commenting on the bug) to the bug report the output of the following commands: uname -a sudo lspci -vv sudo lspci -vvn sudo dmidecode It would also be helpful if you could try to hibernate/suspend and after that fails, restart your system and attach /var/log/kern.log.0 as well. Since there will be a lot of output, please do be sure to attach rather than commenting -in-line. Thanks again!

Pascal, any chance you can try booting with pci=routeirq ? Let us know if this changes anything (it is suggestion from kern.log to try if a device doesn't work properly). Thanks again!

Pascal, any chance you can try booting with pci=routeirq ? Let us know if this changes anything (it is suggestion from kern.log to try if a device doesn't work properly). Thanks again! I've updated the affected package to Feisty's kernel, since the bug persists. Pascal, to make further progress, it would be useful if you provide all previously requested information (lspci, etc.) from Feisty. Also, please try the steps on the page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend Thanks!
