Bug Description

While trying to install Ubuntu Hoary (the same thing happen with the actual
unstable version Breezy), I have this error

hub3-0:1.0:connect-debounce failed port1 disabled
hub3-0:1.0:connect-debounce failed port2 disabled
hub3-0:1.0:connect-debounce failed port3 disabled
and it goes up to "port 6" and then start again to "port 1".
The instalation is then blocked at the first step.

I have tried to boot the original kernel of the Hoary version with the : noapic
acpi=off nolapic options. Nothing fixed the problem.

This problem seems to be in relation with the motherboard Asus A7N8X-X that I have.

If possible, please upgrade to Dapper's 2.6.15-7 kernel. If you do not want to
upgrade to Dapper, then you can also wait for the Dapper Flight 2 CD's, which
are due out within the next few days.

Let me know if this bug still exists with this kernel.

I finally tried with a LIVE CD. I still have the same error as before BUT it can
now follow the installation. After that I'm not able to have access to any USB
port (don't know if it's because of the live CD version or of my problem).

The error is also printed to the screen during the whole "boot period" between
the other informations of services that are starting. I can observe the same
thing while my system is shuting-down.

Is this with flight 2? I noticed in the last comment you seemed to imply that
you tried an installation, but on that date there was no flight 2 cd available
(flight 2 is the first one with 2.6.15 kernel).

Yes this is with the flight 2 CD . I tried first with a flight 1CD and then
discovered my mistake. Then I did it with the flight 2 CD 2 or 3 days later ...

I have found the resolution for this bug (for my configuration: Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro v3205).

1) Update your bios firmware to last release avaiable.
2) In bios setup -> advanced tab -> disable the usb bios legacy support (sometimes the flashing procedure sets this option as enabled)
3) Restart

With this procedure, bluetooth module is recognized during the boot without connect debounce error of usb hub
