cx88-dvb fails to load again

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20

this is a request to reopen Bug #164257 as of updates of 10 jan 2008 this is UNfixed , note this also affect gutsy and hardy kernals , symptoms are the same as in the original bug report , modprobe cx88-dvb returns no such file but the file is infact there , the symptoms are the same in all kernals . insmod returns the same .

Beginning with the Hardy Heron 8.04 development cycle, all open Ubuntu kernel bugs need to be reported against the "linux" kernel package.
