Bug Description
the 7.04 kernel release is definitely defective on the VIA P4M533T chipset...the system crashes very badly. the older hoary kernel, i don't recall the version...2.6.10 or something..seems to hold up on the Via MBoard chipsets...now interestingly, the newer kernel does not seem to crash on the Asus AX4TII MBoard chipsets (Intel 850 or so)...
but it is only USB version 1...not 2....not sure why the kernel has deteriorated in hardware support so badly....perhaps somebody at kernel.org is trying to put some competitors out of business or something.

just an extra note to be a bit more specific...was able to catch a kernel panic error flag...says something about not syncing with bank0 and some numbers following if that is any clue.
