I'm running feisty and XP in dual-boot configuration, using GRUB, on Thinkpad R50e laptop.
After some hibernation tests (to disk and to RAM), I'm now at a point where if I'm exiting linux using the normal "shutdown" process, the sound is gone - in linux and windows.
When I booted into windows - the sound is not reported to be working - all drivers seem to work without error, but i can here no sound! The recording function is working, so I'm guessing it's not the power supply to the card.
When I'm booting into Linux - the same applies: the module seems to be loaded, but i can't hear anything. recording is working.
The strangest thing is that i can "re-activate" the sound *in windows only* using the following way:
1. booting into linux
2. hibernating to disk
3. booting into windows |
