x freezes sporadically

Since an update to Ubuntu 7.04 x freezes sporadically. The only thing I can to is to restart the PC. It normally happen when I have a uptime > 2hours.

Graphic card:gForce 7600GT
Motherboard: G8N K8 Ultra (nForce 4 Ultra Chip)
CPU: AMD 64 3000+
HDDs: 2 Sata

This could be tough to figure out without some additional information, though.

Could you run /usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg-core/script and attach the output to this bug report?

Also, could you describe what you're doing prior to it freezing up? any particular software you're running? Does it freeze while you're using it, or after its been inactive for a time?

First I think it isn't an xserver bug as I thoght first. Because in the system logs there weren't any "--MARK--" lines.
Also this error didn't happen since the HAL update. I don't if the HAL update fixes this problem or my BIOS flash.
To your questions: It happend totally randomly.
"/usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg-core/script"
returns only:
"/usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg-core/script: 20: 3: Bad file descriptor"
about 20times (only the line differs)

I thoght this error was gone, but unfortunaly it just happend again. I played warsow (a opensource multiplayer shooter) when it happends again. The strange thng was when it happend the sound went back about one second and played again.

Yes, sounds like the kernel is freezing, so it's probably not an xserver bug. Refiling with kernel.

Please attach dmesg output via the web interface. Also, are you using the nv xorg driver (open source 2d) or the nvidia-glx driver (proprietary nVidia 3d driver)?

I'm useing the nvidia-glx driver. Anyway I think it might was a problem with my motherboard. Last month my PC didn't even boot. Bought a new motherboard and no crash till now. Anyway thanks for your time.
