I have an Intel 945GM based system with FC5 installed on it. I have installed the most up to date dri drivers from freedesktop.org(version 20060403). When I start X, I get a few(three) flickers of the screen, then a black screen. The backlight is still on. The system is not locked, as I can ssh in, or reboot with ctrl-alt-del. The logs indicate that everything is working correctly and that rendering is enabled. I have tried configuring monitor cloning, but the external monitor shows a black screen also. I have tested a number of different memory settings with no change. Vesa mode works fine on this machine.
