hi,

when i try to boot feisty amd64 on my Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 (BIOS Ver. F8) i need the following kernel parameter in order to start successfully:

acpi_use_timer_override

this bug is fixed with bios revision F11B

there is a new option in the "Power Managemnet Setup" called HPET Mode which I set to 64-bit mode for my AMD64 installation.

I think this bug could be closed!
