feisty hangs on boot

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-14-generic

On a fresh install of feisty, after upgrading to the latest kernel, feisty hangs with the following error message:

ata2.00: revalidation failed errno=-19

It occurs on a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop with a Pentium 4 processor. Booting with the -12 kernel works fine.

Beginning with the Hardy Heron 8.04 development cycle, all open Ubuntu kernel bugs need to be reported against the "linux" kernel package.
