computer cannot return from suspend mode

Bug Description

hello. i want to switch my computer to suspend mode. i do it. after some minutes i want to return my machine from suspend mode. i see this message on screen
[17186183.044000] ata1: command 0xc8 timeout, stat 0x50 host_stat 0x1
and my computer do not respond on my request.(ctrl+alt+del is not work) to continue my work i need to restart computer. i can repeat this bug a few times.

kubuntu 6.10, kernel 2.6.17.10 . motherboard asus a8ne, hard disk seagate barracuda 250 gb (i dont remember model).

i attach /var/log/syslog

today i switch my computer to suspend mode and try press a reset button. nothing done, the computer want not to reboot. (why?) i press power button (computer is out of suspend mode) and then i press reset button. mashine rebooting.
