Bug Description
When I turn off the wireless using the hardware switch when running Windows and try to boot, I get an error message saying BUG: soft lockup detected on CPU#0!. This can be resolved by re-enabling the wireless switch.

I'm running edgy 2.6.17-10-generic on a HP Pavilion dv9000t Core 2 Duo T5500
thanks for your report. there should be a patch you can use in bug # 63418 I believe.
