Bug Description
This bug report pertains to testing of the Belkin USB 4 Port Hub F5U021 in Ubuntu and Kubuntu Edgy. This device used to work properly on my Ubuntu and Kubuntu Dapper system with my Lexar Thumbdrive, but I do not have a Dapper install anymore to grab cross-comparison dmesg information between Dapper and Edgy. Again, this device fails to work properly in Edgy with my Lexar Thumbdrive:

When this USB device is plugged in and turned on, my Lexar 256MB JumpDrive (USB Thumbdrive) fails to mount when plugged into the hub, even with manual attempts at the command line to mount the device when plugged into it. I haven't any other USB devices to test with this hub to see whether or not they too will fail to mount, perhaps others can test this as this is a common device.
* Here's what dmesg outputs when I power on this hub:
ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.3: wakeup
usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 5
usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
hub 2-1:1.0: USB hub found
hub 2-1:1.0: 4 ports detected
* Here's what dmesg outputs when I plug in my Lexar thumbdrive into the hub:
usb 2-1.1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 6
usb 2-1.1: no configuration chosen from 1 choice
But it doesn't mount, even with manual attempts.
* When I disconnect the Lexar thumdrive from the hub:
usb 2-1.1: USB disconnect, address 6
* And when I power off the hub:
usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 5
The Lexar thumbdrive works when I plug it into a usb port on my motherboard, but it does not work with this hub in Edgy.
