Bug Description
Hi
i can`t boot the livecd or install edgy eft. when i start from the livecd i got immediatly (10 seconds after start) a "kernel panic not syncing: Attemped to kill init" same error appears after i install edgy eft when i reboot.
i´m using a acer aspire 1312lc laptop with 30gb hd, 512 mb ram and 32mb graka shared.

Hi linpin,
I suspect your bug is a duplicate of bug 63134, based on the chipset on your laptop (it's VIA, right?). I'm not sure, so I'm not marking this duplicate yet.
Can you take a look at bug 63134 and see if the error you get is the same as in the screenshot? Specifically, does your panic message include the "quirk_ via_abnormal_ poweroff" line? If it does, please mark this as a duplicate of 63134.
