I'd be interested in knowing if this problem also occurs when booting in rescue mode to the console.
If this doesn't happen on console, then I believe it is not a kernel issue. |

Excellent information. From what I can tell, this is basically a hardware issue. Your keyboard just isn't communicating properly with the driver.
