If I remove "quiet splash" from my boot options, when I (try to) shutdown I see "ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:06:0b.0 disabled" as the last line below the "Will now halt" line. Device 0000:06:0b.0 is the Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG (rev 05).
If I "sudo rmmod ipw2200" I see the same "ACPI: PCI interrupt... disabled" line, although it does remove the module from lsmod. If I then "sudo modprobe ipw2200" I see (among other things) "Warning: PCI driver ipw2200 has a struct device_driver shutdown method, please update!"
So yes, perhaps this is realted to the ipw2200 driver.
Does anybody NOT have ipw2200 who is getting this bug?
I do use the ipw2200 driver on my laptop.
