Bug Description
I have a "Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.0A" and in true Microsoft
fassion it malfunctions when using Linux.
During the install process, and only if the keyboard is plugged into the USB
port, the keyboard keeps outputting the "%" symbol as if the "%" key is being
held down.
* The installer starts fine
* I set my language to "English"
* My location to "Australia"
* Keyboard layout to "American English"
At this point, within about 10 seconds, the keyboard begins shooting out the %
symbol, which it continues to do throughout the entire installer. If the
keyboard is unplugged, then plugged back into the USB port, it momentarily works
normally, but within 10 seconds it is outputting the % symbol again.
The problem is not encountered if the wireless receiver is plugged into the PS2
Keyboard port.
Obviously this is the best quick fix, but having the receiver in the PS2 port
dramaticly reduces the refresh rate of the "Wireless Optical Mouse" which can be
annoying.
Possibly related to bug 15059.
