Patch for this touchpad has been applied in the Ubuntu Disco kernel,
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/git/ubuntu/ubuntu-disco.git/commit/?id=3ed64da3b790be7c63601e8ca6341b7dff74a660

The 5.0 HWE kernel for Bionic will soon to be released, therefore I will mark this bug as fix-released.

For those who are affected by this issue, please wait a moment for 5.0 HWE kernel to land or use the newer release like Disco.
