Stuck on this.
On my case it's:
... installed linux-image-5.11.0-38-generic package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 139...

Tried to remove nvidea, no efect.
Tried:
sudo apt -f install
sudo dpkg --configure -a
Tried to purge the old kernel. No luck.
Any tips?

Finally, removing the image made it:
sudo apt remove --purge linux-image-5.11.0-38-generic
Lucky that I had other kernels in the machine.
