Bug Description
I did a clean install of UNR 9.04, replacing the version of ubuntu pre-installed in the laptop (which, judging from the recovery DVD is version 8.04 LTS). Wireless network worked with 8.04, now it doesn't. I don't know which driver is used in 8.04 for this specific card, but I could not get the card to work properly (no success with broadcom proprietary driver `wl' or with ndiswrapper).
The network interface is visible (wlan1 with ndiswrapper, eth1 with wl), but no scan result is provided with "sudo iwlist wlan1 scan". When using the wl driver, the iwlist scan command aborts with "Failed to read scan data : Invalid argument".

This card is LP-PHY type and support for it was introduced in kernel 2.6.32, however 2.6.33 should be more stable.
That means you need Ubuntu 10.10 or newer to get it working (hopefully) fine with b43.
