Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

This is rather urgent. I think that it may only affect people with Nvidia video cards and viewsonic monitors (and maybe even less than that).
What happens is that linux-ubuntu-modules-`uname -r`, if installed AFTER linux-restricted-modules-`uname -r`, will break the Nvidia graphics.
Subsequently, in my testing, I removed linux-ubuntu-modules.... therefore breaking my internet.
SO what I determined what needs to happen if one has installed linux-restricted.... and then linux-ubuntu is this:
UNINSTALL linux-ubuntu-modules-`uname -r`
UNINSATLL linux-restricted-modules-`uname -r`
INSTALL linux-ubuntu-modules-`uname -r `
INSTALL linux-restricted-modules-`uname -r`

From doing the above, I was able to get my video card working and wifi. I don't quite know how to fix it, but it seems to be an interdependency issue.
