Happens as well in 2.6.20-[45]-{generic,lowlatency}.

This bug doesn't seem to crash the system for me; it just spews messy bugs into dmesg and makes Xorg not want to load (I'm using the Via driver). I removed linux-restricted-modules for the kernel I'm using to get rid of the driver after trying to reboot like 10 times.
