Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17-8-386

This was working when I first installed kernel 2.6.17-8 fixing the problem which had occurred in 2.6.17-7. I just did a dist-upgrade and the problem is back again:

sudo modprobe ath_pci

WARNING: Error inserting ath_rate_sample (/lib/modules/2.6.17-8-386/madwifi/ath_rate_sample.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
