Bug Description

When using the nvidia offical driver when i go to shutdown or restart the computer the display remains black until the machine has shutdown instead of showing notification of shutdown.
Also when i kill a xserver session (ctrl -alt -backspace) sometimes when gdm does not reload i am left when a blank screen.

I have this problem too. It appeared right after I installed the nvidia driver, and I still have it.

Had this too. Solved it by adding "vga=792" to the bootcommand formy kernel in /boot/grub/menu.lst

this error can happen any time you leave the X server (ie ctrl+alt+f1)
