Thanks for your bug. My dapper installation has no issue to open that file. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Does it happen if you try opening with some other viewer (gimp by example)? Do you have anything to /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog about that? |

A system hang is not an application bug, that linux or xorg breaking somewhere, reassigning away from the package. The syslog messages or xorg logs should have something about it though |

A system hang is not an application bug, that linux or xorg breaking somewhere, reassigning away from the package. The syslog messages or xorg logs should have something about it though |
Displays fine here. Can you try it with the Dapper beta 2 live CD? If it still happens there, attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log |
