Bug Description

I have an Apple USB Ethernet device attached to a USB2 port. Periodically it will just stop working, traffic will no longer go over the interface. As this is a headless firewall I find the easiest way to wake it up is to physically unplug it then plug it back in. However sometimes I then need to plug a display/keyboard in and ifdown/ifup the device.

I note dmesg shows a lot of 'kevent 2 may have been dropped' which upon googling turns up a potential issue with Kernel USB support.

This is odd, I filed against "linux", not "linux-ports".

I have the same problem with USB2 cable modem.
I try it to use with a raspberry pi running Raspbian (Debian based) OS.
