kernel freeze at start on sun fire v240

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.30-1-sparc64-smp

The kernel is unable to boot since 2.6.29 (either ubuntu kernel or vanilla kernel).
The hangs happens in sys/arch/sparc/pcr.c:152 at the pcr_arch_init function.
The call to nmi_init never returned.
I had a discussion with David Miller on this bug.
