Bug Description
My IBM Thinkpad X40 occasionally fails to suspend properly - the "suspend" light flashes but the suspend process never completes.
On occasion, it also fails to resume properly. I'm not entirely sure which failure this apport-generated crash refers to, but I think it's the suspend.

Have you tried the generic supported i386 kernel, linux-image- 2.6.8-11- generic?
