Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-image
I have an ATI Radeon x1600 Pro AGP video card in a HP Workstation xw4100 connected to an LCD TV with a S-Video cable. During POST the graphical output is normal but while using the terminal the graphics are rather odd. There are alternating green and purple lines running the width of the screen about 2 pixels apart and 2 pixels high. While using the text installer there was no graphical issues. I chose the package linux-image instead of the specific kernel because a similar issue happens in the Desktop edition of Ubuntu as well as the Server edition which is installed right now.
I'll get a picture of the graphics that desktop edition displays.
