Note that linux-libc-dev is already at 2.6.32-22.33 as well, and is thus out of sync with the kernel and headers pulled in through linux-ports-meta.

Security Issue: Ubuntu update manager now reports that "linux- image-2. 6.32-24- powerpc 2.6.32-24.41" is available as a security update; but that package's Description warns:
"You likely do not want to install this package directly. Instead, install the linux-powerpc meta-package, which will ensure that upgrades work correctly, and that supporting packages are also installed."
However, the linux-powerpc package is stuck at an earlier version, so the kernel update cannot be applied through that meta-package. The resulting confusion may cause users to ignore updates.
If we keep the linux-ports-meta package up-to-date, users will be encouraged to apply the update when notified.
