Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux
Toshset, a utility for configuring toshiba laptop functions, no longer works in 2.6.19-6-generic. Without this, some toshiba laptop users (such as myself) will be unable to use bluetooth, which requires toshset to switch on.
The toshiba and toshiba_acpi modules appear to load correctly (from dmesg)
[ 770.156000] toshiba_acpi: Toshiba Laptop ACPI Extras version 0.18
[ 770.156000] toshiba_acpi: HCI method: \_SB_.VALZ.GHCI
Output from toshset is as follows (blank lines basically)
mark@toshbuntu:~$ sudo toshset -bluetooth on
Password:
mark@toshbuntu:~$ sudo hciconfig
mark@toshbuntu:~$ sudo toshset -lcd 0
SciFeature:action: error setting lcd brightness
SciSet returned: unknown error. (244)
mark@toshbuntu:~$
This was / is fine in both edgy and dapper. I am currently using feisty and have tried toshset 1.71 (feisty default) and 1.72 (latest source version available.
