Bug Description

linux-image-2.6.20-16 boots w/o issues with feisty. The ipw2200 card works.

The linux-image-2.6.22-14-generic from gutsy hangs during boot. The only way to boot successfully is appending acpi=off to the kernel commandline. Unfortunately the ipw2200 fails to work with this option enabled.

I would like to upgrade to gutsy but this bug is a show-stopper.

I just reinstalled using the amd64 dvd from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/dvd/current/

The installer ran w/o major issues.
My system now boots fine using the generic amd64 kernel. wifi works.
