While keeping the Xenial HWE stack on Ubuntu Trusty (14.04), I tried various installed HWE kernels.

It seems it really broke with the Wily kernel (4.2.0.42.34). The Vivid kernel (3.19.0.74.56) has survived multiple resume cycles, while Wily instantly created the problem.
