if i boot the machine with 3.16.0-38 the problem does not occur

I can reproduce this problem on 2 different servers

Manufacturer: LENOVO
Product Name: ThinkServer RD640

and

Manufacturer: Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
Product Name: RH2288H V2-8S
Version: V100R002

both have 1G onboard nics

I just upgraded 7 SuperMicro Servers to this version and it was a total disaster.

I had to IPMI login to each one and revert back to 3.16.0-46

Generally I trust the upgrades - this one was a mistake.

Hope it gets fixed! Maybe I could help somehow?

Unfortunately i no longer have access to those servers, I have pinged the
people that run that environment without much success
