Bug Description

On our deployement we have encountered this weird behaviour after upgrading to the kernel 3.8

When trying to copy a directory inside a mounted NFS-share, the following error occurs:
$ cp -pr foo bar
cp: failed to preserve ownership for `bar': Remote I/O error

The ownerships of foo where 755 and those of bar are now 700.

This error only occurs if you use an older kernel on server side (2.6.32-55-server in this case, lucid is installed there) and only if NFSv4 is used.

If you mount the directory as NFSv3 directory there are no traces of the problem. Also the problem does not occur, if you use kernel 3.2 or 3.8 on server side.
